Why TextTranscript exists

Every week, people ask the same question on forums and support boards: how do I print my text messages? Usually a court date is coming, or someone they love has died and the messages are all they have left.

The answers are almost always the same: take hundreds of screenshots, find a Mac, or buy desktop software for $30–$80. The threads often end without a good answer.

TextTranscript is the tool we wished those people had: open a backup, choose a conversation, and get a clean PDF a judge can read or a family can keep.

What we care about

  • Private by design. Your messages are read and turned into a PDF on your own computer. We built it so that we never receive them, and the site's security policy enforces that.
  • Honest about limits. We tell you what isn't supported yet, and we don't promise that any court will accept a document.
  • Fair pricing. A free preview first, then one-time payments. No subscription, no upsell maze, and a 14-day refund.
  • Nothing silently changed. Message text is never edited. Anything we can't show, like an unsupported attachment, is marked in the document, not dropped.
